What does Cosmic Cleanse taste like?

Cosmic Cleanse is a primarily rooibos-based tea blend. Rooibos is known for its vanilla, woody, and smoky taste. You may also pick up notes of licorice, which has a sweet-bitter, somewhat tangy flavor that’s reminiscent of fennel or anise.

Gentle, naturally sweet & slightly nutty, this blend is easy to drink & impossible not to love.

The base of Cosmic Cleanse is our Red Rooibos, also known as Red Bush, is sourced from the highest mountain peaks in South Africa. In shape, it is a very fine and delicate tea. Also, because it is not derived from Camellia sinensis, or the common tea plant, it is an amazing caffeine free alternative to black or green tea.

Our next ingredients, Marshmallow Root, has been used for a millennia as an edible food and for its properties to sooth. It is commonly found growing in damp environments like, marches, seas and river banks. The mucilage of the plant is also high in antioxidants.

Licorice Root is a herbaceous legume native to the Middle East, southeastern Europe and India. It is one of the most widely used herb in the world, and is universally loved as sweetener in a variety of concoctions, including herbal teas. It is also the single most used herb in Chinese medicine, with a storied history of its political and environmental effects on the region.

Next, we include one of our favorite spices: Cardamom. This spice has an intense, piney and slightly fruity flavor. It is often used in coffee and as a flavoring to curry dishes. In India, cardamom is considered to be the “Queen of Spices”.

Astragalus Root (milkvetch or huang qi) is a perennial native to China, Mongolia and North Korea, and rounds out the blend of Cosmic Cleanse. It grows in grassy regions and along mountain sides, requiring a lot of sunlight to grow. It was historically used in Chinese Medicine in a Qi tonic, with many recipes employing its use in teas. Astragalus as a genus is very, very large, including over 3,000 separate species!

When should I drink CBD tea?

Cosmic Cleanse does NOT contain caffeine, so it’s safe to enjoy before bed or whenever you’re winding down for the day. It mildly euphoric, so it can also be enjoyable throughout your day, keeping the mind feeling fresh and inspired. It also is an excellent choice whenever your throat tickles, or if you’re feeling overly full from a heavy meal.
